Gustaw Zieliński in the world of science
Abstract
The article entitled “Gustaw Zieliński in the world of science” proves that this original 19th-century Pole – a poet, novelist, November insurgent, deportee, landowner, social activist, bibliophile, culture patron – was also a man who should appear in the group if not people of science, then at least its popularisers. His works, not only in the field of bibliophilia and history but also, as so far has been rarely mentioned, geography, make him fully authorised to be classified as such.
