In the face of a rapidly changing geopolitical situation and new developments on the global market, traditional logistics management models based on cost optimization have significant limitations. This article presents a conceptual framework for designing resilient and sustainable supply chains in the metal and automotive sector. The aim of the model is to demonstrate the link between sustainable development goals (i.e. ESG), maintaining high stability and agility of production processes, and strategic security requirements (i.e. dual-use). The proposed solution is based on three pillars: redefining the role of the partner, algorithmizing the selection process using ERP data, and integrating with dual-use production requirements. The model enables the objective evaluation of suppliers and the transformation of dispersed SME production resources into a flexible critical infrastructure capable of supporting the industrial sovereignty of the state in crisis situations. The presented solution is part of the research trend on agile and self-configuring manufacturing systems in the Industry 4.0 and 5.0 paradigm.
