About the Journal

The academic yearly “Teka Komisji Urbanistyki i Architektury Oddziału PAN w Krakowie” has a history that spans over half a century. It has been published since 1967 as a publication body of the Urban Planning and Architecture Commission of the Kraków PAN section.The journal is an advanced forum for publishing research on architecture, urban design, spatial planning, landscape architecture, heritage conservation, arts history and many related fields. “Teka” is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal and publishes articles in English and Polish (with translations into English).

The journal accepts original research papers whose goal is to enhance the global debate on the significance of shaping space and the landscape with the intent to improve quality of life.“Teka Komisji Urbanistyki i Architektury Oddziału PAN w Krakowie” is addressed not only to specialists, but also to all readers with an interest in space both natural and cultural, and especially those with a landscape and conservation conscience, who value spatial order, a sustainable environment, identity, the artistic design of space, as well as modern and innovative phenomena in the shaping and investigation of various types of spaces, both locally and globally.Starting with volume XLV/2017, “Teka” has been indexed in the Core Collection Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science (WoS).

“Teka” is also listed in the Academic journals and peer-reviewed international conference proceedings list of the Ministry of Education and Science, with a value of 100 points. Furthermore, the journal is indexed in the following citation databases: ARIANTA, BazTech, CEON, ICI Journals Master List, ERIH+, Polska Bibliografia Naukowa.
