Józef Andrzej Teslar and the Teslar’s Files
Abstract
Józef Andrzej Teslar was an extraordinarily prolific propagator of Polish culture and literature. He was mostly active in the interwar period in France. For the greater part of his professional life, he was working for the military. Commissioned by Military Historical Bureau, he copied documents related to „L’Armée bleue”. This article presents Teslar’s profile, his activities in the fields of military, literature, archival work and the popularisation of Polish culture and literature, with a special focus on his stay in France in 1920s and 1930s.
