About the publisher

The Publishing House of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in an integral part of the Academy’s mission, which is to support the development of science in Poland and to disseminate its achievements internationally. We primarily publish scholarly journals edited by PAS committees, divisions, and affiliated units. Currently, more than fifty titles are issued under the auspices of the Academy, covering all major academic disciplines – from the humanities and social sciences to the natural, exact and technical sciences.

The PAS Digital Library already provides access to over 16,000 scholarly articles in electronic form. Through our digital platform, our journals are widely accessible to the academic community as well as to readers interested in science in Poland and worldwide. Publications are available in an open access model, which facilitates the dissemination of knowledge and enhances the international visibility of Polish research.

In addition to journals, the Polish Academy of Sciences publishes books and other scholarly outputs, including monographs, conference proceedings, reports, expert opinions, and policy papers available via the PAS Digital Library. This ensures that a broad spectrum of knowledge, from fundamental research findings to applied studies, reaches both specialists and a wider audience.

PAS publications follow high editorial and ethical standards. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process, and editorial practices are based on principles of integrity and compliance with international publishing ethics guidelines. Through collaboration with experienced editors, reviewers, and technical specialists, PAS publications maintain a high scholarly and editorial quality.
