Revisión de propuestas evidenciales sobre el uso del ppc: en busca de una función distintiva de la forma he cantado en la variedad argentina del español

Abstract

One of the employments of the Present Perfect found in the Río de la Plata region is its evidential use. Since evidentiality is not inherent to the Spanish grammatical system, different means used to express it are referred to as evidential strategies, the present perfect tense being one of them. In this research we take into account both local (Argentine Northwest) and global (Argentina-wide) perspective on the present perfect tense with evidential meaning and conclude that it extends to pragmatic-discursive plane. This study aims to establish the normalized frequency of different Present Perfect values expressed in the Argentine variety of Spanish.
