Contronarrazioni della follia: i romanzi di Nadia Terranova e Serena Vitale

Abstract

In this article we will compare the novels Quello che so di te by Nadia Terranova and Cartella clinica by Serena Vitale. Both narratives are constructed from the medical charts of relatives (Nadia Terranova's great-grandmother Venera; Serena Vitale's sister Rossana), suffering from mental illness and confined to mental hospitals. We will show how literary narratives use patient charts to construct counter-narratives.
