Archē has stimulated philosophical thoughts on the essence of the origin and originarity for ages. On the grounds of phenomenologically based reflexion there are two main realisations of this problem i.e. genetic phenomenology of Edmund Husserl and the philosophy of Martin Heidegger that goes back to the Presocratics. Martin Heidegger’s essay Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes introduced art into the territory of the question of archē. ‘Metaphysical qualities’, revealed in an intentional or numinous aesthetic object, expressed by Polish phenomenologists Roman Ingarden and Władysław Stróżewski also belong to the same area. The article aims at presenting a synthetic approach to those different phenomenological perspectives, which together lead to the revelation of the archic dimension of art.
