The article is devoted to the study of surnames of the Rivne region (the Rivne region of Ukraine), derived from adjectival bases - structural components of complex Slavic names. Adjective anthroponymic bases with benevolent, noble-wishful semantics Hod-, Dobr-, Drag-, Lyub-, Myl-, Rad-, Svyat- are considered in comparison with the primary appellative counterparts. They are also reconstructed from toponyms and a significant array of regional surnames - single-root suffixal derivatives, toponymic and composite nominal formations. The systematicity, completeness and integrity of the study are ensured by the distribution of the material by lexical-semantic subgroups, giving examples of onyms from other Ukrainian and Slavic territories. Extensive factual material, the results of linguistic analysis and a strictly structured research methodology can, in the future, be applied to the study of other groups of regional personal vocabulary.
