Uwagi o feminatywach w moskiewskiej „Trybunie Radzieckiej” (1927-1938)

Abstrakt

The main focus of the article is to point out the feminatives excerpted from the newspaper "Trybuna Radziecka" the central Polish newspaper published in Moscow in the years 1927-1938. The goal of the paper is to present the semantic and word-formation characteristics of female names. In the first part are described the sociopolitical and cultural transformations following the rebirth of Poland in 1918 which caused a change in the position of women in society. The new reality required the development of new patterns of linguistic behavior in relation to women. In this part the situation of women after the October Revolution is presented too. With their activity on the labor market, there was a need to nominate new feminine professions or functions. In the second part those female names found in "Trybuna Radziecka" are presented in several semantic groups (e.g. the names of professions, titles, social status) and discussed are the ways feminine forms are derived.
