Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Copyright Notice
Authors grant Polish Academy of Sciences a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any user the right to use the article freely if its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified. The Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 formalizes these and other terms and conditions of publishing articles.

General Provisions
The data controller is the Polish Academy of Sciences, with its registered office in Warsaw (00-901), Palace of Culture and Science, Plac Defilad 1, NIP: 525-157-50-83, REGON: 000325713. Personal data are processed in accordance with generally applicable provisions of law, and are stored on appropriately secured servers.
The term 'GDPR' refers to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.
We respect the right to privacy and ensure the security of personal data. For this purpose, appropriate technical measures are applied, including the use of a secure communication encryption protocol (SSL). Personal data provided via any forms available on the website are treated as confidential and are not accessible to unauthorised persons.

Data Controller
The Polish Academy of Sciences acts as the data controller for the personal data of its clients and employees. This means that if you hold an account on our website, we may process personal data such as your name and surname, email address, telephone number, position, place of employment, and IP address. The Polish Academy of Sciences is also the data controller for individuals subscribed, for example, to a newsletter.
Personal data are processed:

Each data subject, where the Polish Academy of Sciences acts as the data controller, has the right of access to their personal data, the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The erasure of personal data may occur, in particular, as a result of the withdrawal of consent or the submission of a legally admissible objection.
The Polish Academy of Sciences reserves the right to continue processing personal data after the withdrawal of consent solely for the purposes of pursuing or defending legal claims, or where the retention of data is required under national or EU law, or under international legal obligations.
Personal data may be disclosed exclusively to entities authorised under applicable law, including competent public authorities.
The Polish Academy of Sciences does not disclose personal data to third parties other than those authorised by applicable legal provisions. The data controller has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures, including data encryption and access control mechanisms, in order to minimise the risk of personal data breaches. Personal data are processed only by persons authorised by the data controller or by processors acting on its behalf under appropriate contractual arrangements.

Your personal data will be retained for the period necessary, as required by applicable legal provisions.
Your personal data may be disclosed to other entities authorised to obtain such information exclusively on the basis of applicable legal regulations.
You have the right to request from the data controller access to your personal data, as well as their rectification, updating, erasure, and, in justified cases, restriction of processing.
In connection with the processing of personal data by the data controller, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the provisions of the GDPR.
