The journal is interdisciplinary in scope and serves as a platform for the exchange of scholarly ideas among researchers from diverse fields. It places particular emphasis on studies related to the Polish-Austrian cultural sphere, encompassing history, memory studies, literature, social sciences, and the arts. The articles published address both historical and cultural issues as well as contemporary social and political processes, highlighting their relevance within the broader context of European heritage. The journal fosters methodological diversity and openness to innovative research perspectives, encouraging in-depth analysis and interdisciplinary dialogue. In addition, it features research findings and reports on the academic activities of the Scientific Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Vienna, including conference proceedings, research projects, and initiatives aimed at promoting science.

The aim of the journal is to create an interdisciplinary space for the exchange of scholarly ideas and the presentation of research results concerning broadly understood cultural relations in Central Europe, with particular emphasis on the Polish-Austrian cultural sphere. Its thematic profile, rooted in the humanities, social sciences, and cultural studies, encompasses issues related to history, literature, memory studies, sociology, cultural theory, as well as analyses of political and social processes from both historical and contemporary perspectives. The journal promotes methodological diversity, openness to innovative research approaches, and interdisciplinary dialogue, enabling in-depth interpretations of cultural and social phenomena. It also publishes materials documenting the academic activities of the Scientific Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Vienna, including reports on conferences, research projects, and initiatives aimed at promoting science.
