Tra reportage giornalistico e narrazione odeporica: l’ibridismo linguistico di Paolo Rumiz

Abstract

The paper examines Paolo Rumiz’s travel writing from a linguistic and textual perspective, interpreting the hybridism between reportage and travel narrative as a narrative strategy. The analysis of È Oriente and Trans Europa Express shows how lexical polyphony (including foreignisms, regionalisms, and toponyms) and metalinguistic reflection structure a representation of otherness and of Europe’s geo-cultural boundaries.
