Folia Orientalia is a diamond open access journal. All content is made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription fees or access charges for readers or article processing charges (APCs) for authors.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Copyright remains with the author(s). By submitting and publishing an article in Folia Orientalia, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive licence to publish the work and identify itself as the original publisher.

For articles published before 2020, different copyright arrangements may apply. These articles remain freely accessible. Requests concerning the reuse of material published under earlier copyright agreements should be addressed to the Editorial Office.
