Code of ethics

The editorial staff of "Rozprawy z Dziejów Oświaty" strives to adhere to ethical standards at all stages of editorial work to ensure the reliability of scholarly works published in the journal. It considers the following unethical practices in the publication of articles:

  • plagiarism (presenting all or part of another person's work as one's own, including quoting or paraphrasing the text without citing the source);
  • self-plagiarism (presenting an article that has already been published in whole or in part or has been submitted to another journal as new and unpublished);
  • duplicate publications (presenting the same data, information, and conclusions in more than one article without cross-references and cross-references);
  • data fabrication (presenting data and information in an article that is not supported by sources);
  • ghostwriting (failing to disclose the actual author of all or part of the text);
  • guest/honorary/courtesy authorship (citing as authors of articles people who did not take part in their preparation).

Conflicts of interest include:

  • professional subordination;
  • other relationships (e.g. material) that may interfere with an impartial assessment;
  • direct scientific collaboration within two years prior to preparing the review;
  • direct personal relationships.
